"Float Silver"
Cobalt area
8x3.5x.5 cm
A piece of float silver from the cobalt area. Many of the silver veins were exposed on surface, during glaciation the some silver was removed and deposited further south as the glaciers travelled. The "float silver" can be identified by a spongy appearance as all of the other minerals have been naturally etched away. (Author: Joseph D'Oliveira)
