Grey silver sheets on reddish grey massive hornstein quartz. Very old sample (8 cm in width) from Johanngeorgenstadt, Erzgebirge, Saxony. The mining district of Johanngeorgenstadt is not as well-known as Freiberg or Schneeberg, mineral specimens from there are rare. Famous are the mimetites (type locality) but also good silver minerals were found (notwithstanding you don´t see them that often). With two old labels. (Author: Andreas Gerstenberg)
