Thomsonite Vaijapur, Aurangabad District, Maharashtra, India 6.5 x 7.2 cm. Creamy white, spherical thompsonite aggregates on basalt matrix. These first appeared on the U.S. market in 2005 and several dealers had them labeled as mesolite. Rudy Tchernisch analyzed several specimens from this location and identified them as thompsonite. Thomsonite + Apophyllite Moonen Bay, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK FOV approx 50cm across A large pipe cavity lined with apophyllite and stalactitic thomsonite. The pipe is about 20cm in diameter. An unusual occurence; haven’t seen another one like it at Moonen Bay or elsewhere.
